The Quran (Surah 18) tells of some

young men who believed in Allah. To

keep their faith safe, they went into a

cave with their dog. Allah made them

fall asleep, and their dog lay at the

entrance with its paws stretched out.

They slept for 309 years! When they

woke up, they thought they had slept

for a day or part of a day.
