In the Qur'an, the wise man Luqman

gives advice to his son: "O my son,

establish prayer, tell people to do

what is right, stop them from what is

wrong, and be patient with whatever

happens to you." He also tells him not

to walk proudly on the earth, to walk

at a calm pace and to lower his voice.
